The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, August 1 reveals Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will support Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Also coming up, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will end his partnership with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Plus, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will trade barbs with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Y&R spoilers tease Daniel will spot Tessa and Aria at the park. So, he’ll say hello and Tessa will introduce him to her daughter. Daniel will say he thought they were meeting at the park much later. Tessa will say they’re all out of fishy crackers. So, Daniel will offer Aria some fishy gummies.
Tessa will tell him Aria has been out of sorts and so is she, without Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). “I still can’t believe she just left you guys,” Daniel will reply. Eventually, Aria will fall asleep and Daniel and Tessa will sit on a blanket, looking up at the clouds. He’ll point out animal shapes and Tessa will tell him she needed this.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Jack Can’t Believe Cane Is Going To Come Back
She’ll add add she’s been crying herself to sleep lately. “I just keep hoping today would be the day that Mariah will come home.” Daniel will say he’s sorry she’s dealing with this. Then he’ll spot a rabbit in the park and will be surprised when it approaches them.
“When you’re kind and gentle, you make others feel safe,” Tessa will tell him, putting her hand on his arm. Daniel will mention the guitar lesson and she’ll say she probably needs it more than he does. “Well, it’s a date,” he’ll reply, then correct himself. “Well, not a date date, but…”
Meanwhile, Diane and Jack will walk into the Abbott estate, only to find Billy waiting for them. Diane will head to the office and Billy will say he thinks it’s time they end their business relationship. He’ll tell Jack Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is considering buying out Jack’s investment in Abbott Communications.
Billy will add they’re going to discuss it when Cane returns to Genoa City. Jack will say he can’t believe he’s coming there, after everything that happened. “I don’t understand how you could possibly put your future in his hands.” But Billy will say he wants to give Cane another chance. Jack will remind him he lured them all to Nice and detained them there.
However, Billy won’t want to get into a debate. “Are you willing to sell your interest in Abbott Communications?” he’ll ask. Jack will say he’s willing to sell. “Do you think Cane will let you call the shots, or is this just a piece of the puzzle that Cane is putting together?” he’ll ask.
At Crimson Lights, Diane will stroll in and run into Phyllis. “Good morning,” she’ll say. “It was,” Phyllis will reply. She’ll say she decided to put a pause on their hostilities when they were in Nice. But now that they’re home, Phyllis has gone back to loathing her.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Stepped Over Two Dead Bodies For It
Diane will accuse her of being desperate to get her foot in the door with Cane. “So desperate, in fact, that you didn’t hesitate to step over two dead bodies to make a deal.” Phyllis will say she saw Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) die and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) was involved with her daughter and was a good man.
Diane will point out Cane deceived his family for six years. “Seriously, how many years did you deceive your family and your friends, pretending to be dead?” Phyllis will reply. Diane will say she can see why she and Cane are drawn to each other.
“It’s really no wonder you’re getting into bed with Cane Ashby.” But she’ll also warn her that Cane could double-cross her. Then Daniel, Tessa and Aria will show up. Phyllis will embrace her son, say she missed him, and ask if they can spend some time together. But he’ll say he has plans with Tessa.
However, Tessa will tell Daniel to go catch up with his mom. They’ll head to Society and Phyllis will tell him Aristotle Dumas is Cane Ashby. “Cane’s moving back here and bringing his empire with him, which is good.” She’ll add there could be a place for him, if he wants it.
Then she’ll say what she’s about to tell him can’t leave the room. “Cane is making a huge power move, he’s planning to acquire all the companies in Genoa City.” But she can’t tell him more, due to an NDA. “Did he hire you?” Daniel will ask.
Phyllis will only say that Cane respects her and Daniel will admit he can’t help but be suspicious of the man. “You know me, I always use caution,” she’ll reply. Then Billy will appear. “Maybe it’s time to throw caution to the wind,” he’ll say. Phyllis will comment the power dynamic in town is about to change. “It definitely is,” Billy will reply.
